How Far Are You Willing to Go in Your Service to Others?

So, are you ready to lead others to find and receive the total cancelation of their sins? If your sins have been canceled, it's time to go spread the good news, right? It's time to take on the sufferings of Christ in the service of others.

Billy Graham once stated, “The record of our bad deeds, including our defective good deeds, along with the just penalties that each of us deserves, must be blotted out–not balanced!"

This is why Christ suffered and died so that we would be saved. Jesus willingly endured the suffering of my damnation and yours so that we could be saved. Now, can we do the same for others? Can we love those who hate us? Can we serve those who despise us and say and do all kinds of things to harm us?

“When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.” Colossians 2:13-15

Jesus is Our Only Hope, So I Place My Faith in Him

Why must it happen like this? Why the suffering? Why can't we just skip to the Heaven part? There is an answer to this question… if you and I can endure. How Far Are You Willing to Go in Your Service to Others? So, are you ready to lead others to find and receive the total cancelation of their sins? If your sins have been canceled, it's time to go spread the good news, right? It's time to take on the sufferings of Christ in the service of others.

If we can persevere, and we don’t give up hope and don’t get discouraged in doing good things, and if we persevere in Hope, God promises in due time He will exalt us. Meaning, He will make everything right. Our job is to place our faith in Him and then stand.

"Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

According to Billy Graham, “God the Father is the God of Justice and His wrath for our sin was satisfied with the suffering and death of Jesus. The holy curse against our sin was fully absorbed in Jesus’ death, and the price of our forgiveness was totally paid."

Our job is to spread the good news of Jesus' salvation so that those in pain will turn to God and find relief.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Billy Graham goes on to teach, “the death of Jesus and resurrection is not only the demonstration of God’s love (John 3:16), it is also the supreme expression of Christ’s own love for all who receive it as their treasure.

“Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” Ephesians 5:25

Furthermore, Mr. Graham taught “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends.” “And in John 15:13

And Jesus declares, “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28

And Peter taught, "but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation." 1 Peter 4:13

In this world, we all will suffer. If we live our life seeking fullness, joy, love, peace, we will find it in Jesus. But we will also have plenty of suffering. Well, guess what, those who don't have Christ in their heart suffer too. All people suffer, but only Christians seek to redeem suffering - which means Christians make their suffering count.

“To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” John 1:12

So, the way I see it, our job is clear. If we are willing... Our job is to take on the sufferings of Christ by spreading the Gospel and testifying to the grace and mercy and magnificent love of God, especially to those who do hate us and despise us, and those who don't deserve our love.

"praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;" Colossians 4:3
